Dr Tan Gie Hooi is a breast and oncoplastic surgeon whose practice is mainly focused on breast work, encompassing the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of all benign and malignant conditions of the breast. She performs surveillance and prophylactic surgery for the high risk groups. Dr Tan completed her medical training in 2002, graduating from the University of Malaya. After completing her Master in Surgery, she underwent 3 years breast surgical fellowship in UMMC, with oncoplastic training in Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok. Prior to joining Thomson Hospital, she was serving as a breast and oncoplastic surgeon in UMMC breast unit which provides comprehensive breast care service to about 6000 outpatients yearly.
