Admission
Our hospital’s admission process is designed to provide compassionate and efficient care, ensuring that you receive the best medical attention while addressing your individual needs, from the moment you step through our doors.
Admission and Discharge Counter is located at Ground Floor, and operates daily from 7am to 10pm. Outside of these hours, kindly proceed to our Emergency Department, which operates 24 hours.
- Consultant advice for admission & complete admission order
- Patient brings admission order, NRIC, valid insurance card or guarantee letter (GL)
- Admission Team will assign bed according to entitlement, request or availability & brief patient on T&C and deposit requirements
- Once bed is ready, our porter will escort patient to the ward
- Interim bills are available during your admission period, upon request. For updates on inpatient bills, you may approach our Admission and Discharge Counter for assistance
- For self-paying patients, you may choose your preferred room type (subject to room availability)
- For GL patients, you will be allocated a room based on your room/bed entitlement as stated on the GL (subject to room availability). You may also choose to upgrade to a higher room type by paying the difference of room rate or co-payment (if applicable), based on your policy
- If your room/bed entitlement is unavailable, you may be allocated to other room types based on availability
For your comfort and personal hygiene, please bring along the following:
- Personal toiletries ( an admission kit will be provided to you during admission. It consists of basic toiletries such as bath towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shower gel and shampoo)
- Proper footwear
- Comfortable attire
For safety purposes, you are strongly advised NOT to bring:
- Jewellery
- Excessive cash
- Electrical appliances such as electric kettle / cooker / fan
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU): 12 pm till 2 pm / 6 pm till 8 pm
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): 24 hours
- High Dependency Unit (HDU): 12 pm till 2 pm / 6 pm till 8 pm
- Paediatric Close Observation Unit (PCOU): 12 pm till 2 pm / 4 pm till 8 pm
- General Wards: 12 pm till 2 pm / 4 pm till 8 pm
FAQs
Yes, a deposit will be required at the time of admission. We accept cash and all major debit & credit cards. However, we are unable to process personal cheques.
The deposit amount varies depending on mode of payment:
- Self-paying patients are required to pay the estimated cost of the treatment at the point of admission
- For patients with insurance and/or Corporate Guarantee Letter, the standard minimum deposit will be collected during your admission (the amount varies depending on your insurance or GL provider)
- A higher deposit amount will be collected for patients with room upgrade, GL of limited coverage and GL with co-payment or co-insurance
We recognise and accept medical card or guarantee letter from companies and insurance providers as listed here.
The turnaround insurance approval for admission may differ from one patient to another and may take up to 1 – 3 hours.
Yes, the Muslim prayer room is located at 1st Floor (Block A) and Lower Ground Floor (Block B).
Yes, Wi-Fi connection is available in most areas of the hospital. Wi-Fi access: THKD-Guest.
Discharge
We will proceed with the discharge process once your doctor has certified your discharge.
- Consultant decides to discharge patient and prepares relevant document
- Ward staff will initiate discharge process in the system including preparation of final bill, final GL, take – home medication and medical report
- Final bill will be generated:
a) Insurance – submission to insurance company (2-3 hours for approval, however 24 hours for final GL). If you choose to be discharged first without waiting for GL approval, a deposit will be collected during your discharge (the amount varies depending on your insurance or GL provider)
b) Self pay – within 2 hours - Patient to conduct payment (if any) and collect take-home medication before leaving the hospital. Patient to confirm any follow up appointment
- All personal belongings & valuables are collected
- You have obtained your take-home medications (if any), prescribed by your doctor
- You have received your discharge summary and appointment details, should there be any necessary follow-up
FAQs
Upon receiving final GL from your insurance or GL provider, the deposit will be used for uncovered amount (if any). The deposit and excess payment (if any) will be refunded to your bank account (for cash transaction) or the same debit card or credit card that you used to pay for the deposit. The refund process will take 7 to 14 working days.

Patients admitted to our hospital are eligible to redeem parking vouchers – 1 voucher per admission, from our Concierge Counter located at Ground Floor. The voucher holders are entitled to enjoy a flat rate of RM5.00 per day for their parking fee in our facility and make up to three (3) entries per day. The manned car park office is located at the entrance of Block A, car jockey counter.
