About the Doctor

Dr Sandev graduated from the University Of Manchester, UK (MBChB) in 2007 after completing the first half of his medical degree in IMU, Malaysia. He then completed his housemanship and core medical training in England. He qualified as a physician with MRCP (UK) in 2012. Following this, he was awarded to subspecialise in Gastroenterology & Hepatology by the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB), UK. He was then appointed as a Consultant Physician & Gastroenterologist in Royal Preston Hospital, UK before deciding on returning to Malaysia.During this time he pursued a further fellowship in Mumbai perfecting his skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). Dr Sandev is well versed in all aspects of gastroenterology and manages a wide spectrum of digestive disorders with hepatology being his specialist interest and also inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He is also a trained diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist certified by the Joint Advisory Group (UK). Dr Sandev has a keen academic interest and has been involved in multiple trials and published research articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
