About the Doctor

Dr Saiful obtained his undergraduate Medical Degree from Universiti Malaya in 2001. His journey in the medical field started as a houseman at HUKM and later as a Medical Officer positioned in the Emergency Department of Malacca Hospital. In 2004, he was transferred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) as Neurosurgical Medical Officer. After completed his Master in Neurosurgery at HUSM in 2010, he continued to serve as a Neurosurgeon in HKL. While serving as a Neurosurgeon, he also worked as an Associate Lecturer at MAHSA University and UPNM. In 2017, Dr Saiful became the first resident Neurosurgeon Consultant in Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara with special interest in Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery. He is one of the 2 pioneers in Keyhole Supraorbital Craniotomy for aneurysm clipping and tumour excision in HKL. He is also the first in Malaysia, pioneering the techniques together with NAM current president (Neurosurgical Association of Malaysia), Datuk Dr Hj Mohammed Saffari Mohammad Haspani.
