Dr Muzhirah graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland in 2001. She pursued specialty training in pediatrics and obtained her MRCPCH in 2007. She served as a pediatrician for a few years at a government facility before training as a fellow in clinical genetics under the auspicious Ministry of Health, Malaysia. She completed her clinical genetics training with a fellowship obtained in 2014.

Dr Muzhirah sees a range of patients, from paediatrics to adulthood with inherited genetic disorders from various disciplines. She provides genetic counseling for families with hereditary cancer syndromes, abnormal prenatal findings and premarital genetic counseling for at risk family members.
