Dr Achdiat has been practising orthopaedics since 2001 and had successfully completed his Masters in Orthopaedics in 2008 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Having served many Ministry of Health hospitals, he has extensive experience in orthopaedic trauma. To honour his services to the country, he was awarded the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang from Hospital Putrajaya in 2014. Apart from general orthopaedics, Dr Achdiat’s special interest is in minimally invasive fracture fixation, whereby certain fractures are reduced and fixed without large incisions. Furthermore, he is focused on complications of trauma using ring/ilizarov fixators. Dr Achdiat is affiliated to an international surgical organisation called Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen (German for "Association for the Study of Internal Fixation") or AO since 2010. It is the largest global group of voluntary orthopaedic and trauma surgeons, researchers, and operating room personnel (ORP) striving for excellence in patient care and outcomes in trauma and musculoskeletal disorders.
