Dr Elang is a renowned Consultant ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon whose vast surgical skills and experience spans more than 20 years in the field of Medicine. As a Ministry of Health registered sub specialist in Rhinology & Skull Base Surgery, Dr Elang was heading the Rhinology division of the ENT – Head & Neck Department of the country’s foremost quaternary centre, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, prior to joining Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, and has continued to embody that level of expertise in his surgical practice.

His persistent interest and passion in this field of medicine has spurred his travels across the globe to explore various surgical arts to ensure the highest quality of precision and care is delivered to all his patients. Hence, Dr Elang has pursued extensive subspecialty training, both locally and abroad, namely in the United States at both the University of Michigan and the University Ohio as well as at the Univeristy of Adelaide, Australia.
His expertise includes Rhinology, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Skull base surgery as well as Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery along with Head and Neck Oncosurgery. He is also a fully trained Transoral Laser Surgeon from the Royal College of Surgeons, UK. This is merely a breadth of the international training that underpins his wide-ranging surgical practice.

His clinical practice covers a wide scope of ENT and complex head and neck conditions, encompassing both benign and malignant diseases, with particular expertise in advanced endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery, thyroid surgery, and rhinoplasty, alongside comprehensive outpatient ENT care.
